‘Simplified decoding’ means it’s not exactly decoded as in the WMO Code Tables, but in a way that the description is not too long, for its inclusion in the data frame.

Additional remarks

  • There is no support for sections 222 y 444. They will lead to a wrong result or function will crack if not filtered out.
  • Section 555 (reserved for national distribution) is quietly removed if present, as its content varies by country.
  • Group 54 from section 3 (temperature change), as well as groups 9 from section 1 and 3, are ignored and won’t affect other results.
